Transmitted on Thursday, January, 24th, 2013 in Uncategorized

Today’s wonderful news is that ABC has ordered a pilot episode of THE RETURNED.  Another step toward THE RETURNED appearing on your television!  Still can’t believe it!

      Hi Jason,

How very cool about ABC ordering a pilot of The Returned! As the Dutch translator of the book I find this news very exiting, and it must be a hundred times more so for you, as the author. Hopefully the adaptation will make it to the screen, can’t wait to see how it turns out if it does. It’ll take a talented young actor to play the role of Jacob… who of course must be an ordinary boy who somehow looks different.
The next few weeks I’ll be translating one or two of your short stories, looking forward to that as well.

Thanks so much, Karin! It’s definitely very exciting for me. And it’s so exciting to have someone translating the book. I took a class on translating poetry once and I came away from it with a whole new respect for people that do what you do. So let me just say thanks for your hard work. 🙂

      Please stay in touch!

      -Jason
